RI Group Limited’s Private Equity division have a team of investment professionals working specifically to identify, partner and grow established business into high performing organisations.

The RI Private Equity division focuses on leading investments in later stage management buy-out, buy-in and expansion capital involving established Australian businesses within enterprise values ranging from $10-$200 million.

The RI Private Equity team currently manage the following funds:

RI Development Trust No.1
RI Industrial Services Fund
RI Special Opportunities Fund

All private equity investments undergo significant assessment and feasibility studies. The Private Equity team is continually seeking investment opportunities that exhibit the following attributes:

an established market position which delivers strong growth and enhanced profitability
highly competent, dedicated, reliable and honest management
can be operated and grown as a stand alone business or provides a platform for sector consolidation
have complementary attributes which allow them to be “bolted-on” to an existing investment
an established customer base with fully developed products with readily obtainable expansion opportunities
a clear differentiation from competition.

The Private Equity team’s primary focus involves transactions of the following nature:

management buy-outs or buy-ins and acquisition/roll-up strategies;
an influential equity position (with Board representation); and
a clearly defined medium to long term exit strategy.
